When powering either tool with a cordless drill, use a light or medium mechanical clutch setting. Avoid locked "drill mode"; if the fiber line catches on a hidden guide pin or clip, a slipping clutch helps reduce the risk of snapping the line or twisting the tool.
To protect internal pump seals and O-rings, keep glass surfaces clean and periodically apply a drop of plunger lubricant (e.g., WRD Tube-O-Lube). If a tool slowly loses vacuum, check pump seals for debris. Never operate a tool if the red safety indicator line remains visible.
When anchoring via the door striker notch, ensure the tool frame is fully seated and aligned with the cutting plane before applying drill power. Keep tension balanced to avoid sudden shifts, and ensure the line feeds smoothly onto the spools.
