01 Cutting action
Slices hard urethane instead of ploughing through it.
FN9 is braided oval and semi-flat, so it meets the bead with a thin leading edge. Instead of forcing a full round profile through the urethane, it slices a narrow, clean path, designed to cut tough, aged urethane with less drag.

02 Strength
535 lb for the jobs that fight back.
Thick, hardened aftermarket urethane is where a line takes the most load. FN9 is rated at 535 lb tensile strength while staying no thicker than 1.18 mm, so the slim cutting edge doesn’t cost you strength.
03 Coating
Armoured against pinchwelds and glass edges.
Lines wear out where they rub: sharp pinchweld edges, the glass edge and gritty old urethane. FN9’s heavy-duty abrasion-resistant coating protects the fibre through those contact points, so a working length stays serviceable for more removals.

Actual life depends on the urethane and how the line is routed. Inspect for wear before each use and replace damaged lengths.

An FN9 spool holds 96 m (315 ft) of continuous line, 16 m more than a P10 spool. If you’re weighing the two on price, compare by the foot: at WRD list prices, FN9 costs about the same per foot as P10.
P10 is still one of our most popular lines. FN9 adds the semi-flat edge and heavy-duty coating for tough urethane.
